PhromThep Muay Thai Camp Review

I had heard about phromthep muay thai camp from a friend. She had lost a lot of weight their in a very short period of time. After she showed me the website, I got in contact with the staff at PhromThep Muay Thai Gym.

It was only a month later when I was on the camp, living and training every day. Because I was very out of shape and didn’t want to pull anything, I started out by just taking the Yoga classes and the Body Fit sessions.

Amazingly I was already losing weight. This was most likely because of the diet that you eat alongside the training plan. You see, phromthep muay thai is really the only fitness and muay thai camp which also includes a full diet plan.

You can literally take the full package which includes your accommodation, your training and your diet! That’s what I was doing and by doing this, I was burning fat faster then I knew was even possible.

In the end, I’m fitter, healthier and a lot lighter! I’m also planning on going back in a few months time, just because I enjoyed myself so much and really like the place.

Kruu Villalobos

Once again Kruu Villalobos was invited to host the TV program Khun Phra Chuay in Bangkok on the 17 of June 2006. Kruu Villalobos went to help Kruu Lek to display a Muay Thai Chaiya show .During the show the boxers performed the “Yam Sam Khum” (3 Points Step), some bag work showing the most basic elbows, knees and kicks, and  then two boxers demonstrate four deadly advance techniques to each other. The program ended with the Wai Kruu Ceremony  (respecting the ancient teachers) and a hard sparring session.

Kruu Lek also explained the different styles of Muay in the past, and the philosophy of the Muay Chaiya style.

This time, Kruu Villalobos sparred with Khun “Tae”(first Thai students of Kruu Lek), and show how to work with the bag applying some basic Muay Chaiya techniques.
The TV show is to be broadcast on August 22, 2006 on Channel 9 at 8:30 p.m.

Ancient Bokator School

Finally, the first solid link between Bokator and Muay Sangha has been established. After a week of meetings Ajarn Bokator Sam Kim Sean and Kruu Muay Pedro Villalobos have decided to work together to recover all the ancient techniques and to restore the truth about the origin of ancient martial arts in South-East Asia. The effort on both sides has been tremendous due to the sacrifice of family, money, patience and discrimination to find the truth. At the moment this truth is hidden due to business corruption, ego and racism. We really hope that with the help of others, one day everything will come to the light. Until then we will continue working towards the reconciliation of the ancient martial arts in South East Asia with the help of different blessed teachers in each country. In the last week of May, the 4th anniversary of the Bokator school was celebrated and the seven Cambodian teachers of ancient Bokator Khun Khmer and Predal Serey were present giving demonstrations of their styles.

In Cambodia everyone is working together towards reuniting all the ancient styles. In Thailand I am trying to do the same thing but because I am not Thai it is a lot more difficult to re-unite all the styles of ancient Muay; Another problem is that, they are not many teachers alive that really comprehend a specific style of ancient muay Thai, most of them are masters in ring fighting. Soon, Kruu Villalobos will go to India and hopefully meet and train with the masters from the ancient martial arts of Kalarepayat and Indian wrestling. We really hope that we can meet another blessed teacher so we can continue awakening the ancient martial arts as the heritage of the whole of humanity.

A Look At The Muay Sangha

At this time Kruu had the opportunity to study inner alchemy at the “Five Immortal Temple” located at the top of the White Horse mountain. The temple is two hours away by car from the famous and touristy Wudangshan area.

According to Kruu, the hardest part of the trip was to get to the temple and to return back to Thailand. Most of the people in that part of China don’t speak a single word of English. Kruu said that some spirit teachers accompanied him to reach the top of the mountain out of kindness.

Inside the temple lives Li-Sifu, a Taoist Priest, who has been there for more than 15 years. His knowledge about internal martial arts, natural medicine and meditation is at a very advanced level.

At the temple there was also a small group of foreigners from different countries doing a course in internal alchemy and martial arts. They were all special soul people and Kruu really enjoyed spending time with them.

Lindsey and Jim did a great job helping translate the spiritual conversations that Li-Sifu and Kruu were having after dinner… May thanks to them both!

According to Kruu’s understanding, Li-Sifu is on a truly spiritual path, and Kruu considers Sifu as a true Older Brother.

Regarding the martial arts, Kruu didn’t focus his attention on the fighting aspects of martial arts, instead he studied some very interesting breathing exercises within the longevity and standing meditation sets. Also he learned the basics of the I-Ching, the Chinese meridians and pressure points (very helpful for healing purposes) and some of the Five Tone healing music.’

Kruu feels that Taoism is a “non path-path” full of knowledge. Everything that he has learned will make a great improvement to the Muay Sangha philosophy of healing.
